A diptych in two seasons - summer and winter. TGIF is a jumbled acronym for GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS, reflecting the unpredictable and backwards wonder of nature and warmth always returning at the hands of a Creator. Up in northern Minnesota at our cabin, the end of winter pushes the frozen lake towards the sandy beach in chunks of ice as it melts. That meeting of season is the inspiration for this piece. As an Artist who likes to experiment with different tools that connect to the subject matter at hand, frozen ice cubes were used to push around white paint.
