DOVE DROP

From the iconic story of Noah’s Ark in Genesis 8 - The flood was receding and the first bird to be sent was a raven. Then, a dove. The first time it came back after finding no place to land. The second time it returned with a fresh olive leaf in its beak, a sign. After seven days, Noah sent it out again. This time it did not come back. This painting was made using ethically sourced dove feathers and tones of gray, white, green and mint on wood board, a nod to the ark. Green over gray to symbolize the triumph of life over storm. Purple for a royal hope. The edge of the frame is intentionally painted in rainbow colors.
